Bifacial modules capture sunlight from both sides, exhibiting the capacity to make the output significantly higher. Peer-to-peer energy trading, a facility given by innovative platforms using blockchain technology, allows users to buy and sell excess solar energy in a direct, secure, and transparent manner.

    Artificial intelligence (AI) has improved the functioning of solar panels. AI can determine the optimal positioning of solar panels by using and analyzing environmental data. It will make the panels get maximum exposure to sunlight and, as a result, produce higher energy.

    AI-powered systems can predict the potential issues of solar panels by monitoring them in real-time. This predictive maintenance reduces downtime and maintenance costs. Besides, AI can measure solar energy production based on weather patterns and historical data, enabling grid operators to match supply and demand in specific localities. In the future, the integration of AI in solar panels is anticipated to bring higher productivity.

    The US Energy Information Administration states that by 2030, total solar power generation could reach 500 million MWh, and the average annual solar capacity addition would be over 25 gigawatts. The encompassing growth rate would be 20% per year. Empowered by feed-in tariffs for long-term solar project finance, tax credits, and rebates for solar panel installations, the solar energy.

    The future of solar energy looks promising in the United States. Posing as an alternative, clean, sustainable source of energy, it has gained popularity and acceptance from households to businesses. In the future, it is going to be cheaper, more efficient, and widely available, empowered by advanced solar panels, larger storage systems, common solar projects, integration of AI, and decentralized systems.
